the entire reason i put artist mixes on here is to showcase people
who are never content with pursuing any one style
and instead use the success of their previous efforts
as launching pads into something new.
with the modern lovers, he could have kept ripping off
the velvet underground forever
and i made this mix because he didn’t.
unfortunately, he is best known for being
the guy with the guitar in something about mary.
oh, and also for writing the song that m.i.a. ripped off.
but there is so much more here than just ‘roadrunner’.
